I just finished a painting for someone whose father has served in our military for quite some time. He was commissioned in 1969 and retired in 2009. "He was in the army full time and then when [his daughter] was born, switched to national guard.  He was a master sergeant in national guard." He also served in the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers.

MSG Kees, thank you so much for your service. My husband and I greatly appreciate you and how you've served our country. We also appreciate your family. We know it's a family's sacrifice as well.
