Wooden Art: 1 Corinthians

The other material I experimented with last week was wood. I had so much fun working with it...I hope this isn't the last time a client requests it.  A couple of inspiration pics can be found on my Pinterest board

For this painting, I was told to be creative. The only requests were no pink and no pastels. The more rustic the better.
If my client doesn't like it, I have the perfect spot for it in the guest room. :)
Have a blessed Wednesday and a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Canvas Art: Navy Patch

My husband's grandfather served in the Navy several years ago. For Christmas, I painted his Navy patch. I hope his eye sight is getting worse because this painting sure isn't perfect, but it was painted with love. :)

Canvas Art:Textured Fabric

This past week, I've had the opportunity to work with two new materials- one being textured fabric. (You'll have to come back later this week to see what the other one is.)  The material for this painting is the same used for the bathroom vanity at church. This painting will be hung above the vanity mirror. Can't wait to see it in its new home.

Canvas Art: State Birth Canvas

A client used a gift certificate to order this canvas for her precious baby boy. She wanted a canvas with Louisiana and Jeremiah 29:11 on it. I hope this is what she had in mind.

Canvas Art: Chocolate

My Mother-in-law LOVES Chocolate!!! I can't even put into words how much she loves chocolate. lol! Let's just say, for every holiday, birthday, and fun care package she gets Peanut M&Ms from us.  She not only loves chocolate, but she loves to write, and more importantly she LOVES JESUS. She wrote an acrostic for the word "chocolate".  She wanted me to paint it for her so she could hang it in her house.
Mrs. Vickie (ViVi), I hope you like it! Gman and I will see you soon.

Canvas Art: Baby Dickman

A dear friend of mine asked me to paint a canvas for her nephew. When she told me the theme of the nursery, I thought it was perfect! A hunter's nursery for a hunter's son. The whole family likes to hunt. I'm sure Baby Dickman will fit in nicely.

Girls Running For Truth

Last week, I had the honor of taking team pictures for Girls Running For Truth. What an awesome group!!! It is a Christ centered fitness and character building program designed for girls ages 6-11.  I wish there was something like this when I was younger.  For more info check out their website

MOM's Night Out

I attend a local MOPS group here in Las Vegas. It is a blessing to be around other moms who have young children. It is also nice to have a support group while my husband is away.
Each month our MOPS group has a MOM's night out.  Last month, my mother-in-law babysat my precious G-Man so I could enjoy an evening out with other ladies my own age....and a night of no children. (I love my precious baby, but every mother needs a little break.) We went to Mt. Charleston for the evening.  A couple of mom in our group live there. If you don't live near Vegas, Mt.Charleston is a nice getaway/retreat from the city. It's about 30 minutes away. It's hard to believe a place like this is so close to the craziness of Las Vegas.
The Lodge has a cute little Christmas Shop that is open all year round. If you come visit the Lee household, I'll take you there.
Thank you ladies for a wonderful fun evening. Thank you Vivi for taking care of my precious little one, washing my laundry, and cooking.
 Have a blessed weekend!
