Saints Fans' Surprise

Have I mentioned I love to give presents? If you've read The Five Love Languages, you would understand why. Here's the present we gave our friends who are Saints fans. Tee hee hee! There was an extra surprise at the bottom of the bag... a baby announcement.

Hey Kerry, I think there's something else in the bag.
 Really?!?!?!

It's All in the Card

That's how I told some friends of ours.... that we are having a baby. Their little girl will be arriving in May (around that time) so I had fun shopping for little girl things. I put little girl clothes as well as a little Tech onesie in the gift bag (Made by Thirty1Twenty4).
Take a look at their reaction. I love it!

My precious friends' reaction caused a scene in the restaurant where we were eating.... but I didn't care. Everyone was looking at us like we were crazy! I guess we are a little bit.

Gender Reveal Party Invites

I think the latest trend is to have a party to announce the gender of your baby. I think it's such a fun idea! Too bad, we aren't finding out what we're having. But, a client of mine contacted me about designing some for her. They are decorating the nursery in lambs, so she wanted them to match. Take a look at the final design for the invitations.

Baby Wishes

A client of mine found some really cute "Baby Wishes" cards on Pinterest, but she wanted them to be a little more girly. You can actually click on the Pinterest for FREE pdf version.

Take a look at her fun cards. I'm sure everyone who attends her shower is going to have plenty to say about to this baby.
Have a blessed weekend!

Mission Trip Thank You Cards

A sweet client of mine went on a mission trip to Africa around Christmas time. She contacted me about designing some thank you cards to send to those that supported her on her trip. I was delighted to. She took some pretty incredible pictures while she was there and she wanted to share those on her card.

For more information about where she went and how you can go too: Go to Visiting Orphans.

Change of Address Cards

I have had this desire to put a rooster on something I design. I know that sounds a little strange, well, quite a bit crazy. But, I finally got the chance. The McCullins moved out to the country and asked me design their new address cards. And they were willing to let me put a rooster on their cards. PERFECT! Take a look at their fun cards.

Have a blessed Tuesday and Mardi Gras!

Sweet Birthday Surprise

Well, it's another day of posting pictures of priceless reactions.

My husband and I paid a visit to my Adopted MawMaw and PawPaw. PawPaw's birthday is at the end of the month (I didn't realize how many birthdays are in February, but it's definitely in my favor) so we hand delivered his gift.
Me: "PawPaw, I have your birthday present."
PawPaw: "It's not til the end of the month, you could have just mailed it."
Me: "Well, it's a pretty funny card and I want to see your reaction in person."

Here's how he responded:
The inside of his card said, "Hugs and Kisses Love, Baby Lee"
PawPaw started crying because he was so excited. He's so precious!
 MawMaw's reaction:"Are you pregnant?"

"I have waited so long for this moment!"

Yep, that's exactly what Mrs. Kelly said when she opened her "baby gift".
I posed it as her birthday present. My husband and I made a visit to their house about a week before her birthday. Cha Ching! Perfect! I put her "Tea-ny Tiny Lee" present at the very bottom of the bag.  Tee hee hee! And when she opened it.... well, I'll let the pictures do the talking. :)

I think Mr. Andy was a little shocked too. lol!
Have a blessed Thursday!

Hee Hee Hee!

Every time my Diddy (Dad) gets excited about something, he has this special laugh. It's a quiet Hee hee hee! When I graduated high school and college, as well as when I got engaged, he did this laugh. There was no exception to us telling him we were having a baby. We gave him his "Get Well" present (he had back surgery a couple of weeks before) and he did his special laugh. I said,"Diddy, did you like your get well present?" His response, "Hee hee hee, yes!" My mom laughed too!  It was such a fun moment to be able to tell my parents in person!
Here are the pics from us telling them the news.

Priceless!

My husband and I made a trip back home to tell our families about our fun news. We could have called them, but then I wouldn't have fun pictures like these.
I'm sure almost everyone has seen the video we posted on FB. If you haven't seen it, here it is again.

I love videos, but there is nothing like a picture you can print off and have in a frame. I took these while my husband was recording the video.

Baby Fun Mail

There were several friends and family members we couldn't travel to see, so what other way to let them know we are having a baby than to send them mail. I'm sure normal people don't think about mail all the time.... like me. I send mail EVERYDAY. If I had to make a list of my hobbies it would have to include sending mail.

Here's the packages ready to be sent in the mail:
Some of them included popcorn:
 Tea:
Hershey Hugs & Kisses (I ate several before I put them in the mail):

My Precious Husband!

Sometimes I have to sit back and realize that God has a sense of humor....if you don't believe me, hang out in our household for a little bit. And He always has to remind me that He is in control of all things even when I try to be. Another lesson I learn every day is that His timing is PERFECT. You would think that I would have learned these things already, but what can I say? God has his hands full with me.

All that to say, that I knew I was pregnant a day before I told my precious husband. I wanted to make sure before I told him. I was a little bit in disbelief to say the least.
My husband had a rough week at work (we take one day at a time around here). So, when this happens I usually get him a little something. Most of the time it's Legos or a Captain America toy. lol! But not this time. I wrapped a Louisiana Tech onesie in a bag (A Captain America bag, I might add), and told him I got him a little present. The only thing out of the ordinary is that I wrapped it. But how fun would that have been if I would have handed a onesie and said here's your present. Plus I needed some time to catch his reaction on the camera (picture taking while opening any present is not out of the ordinary in our home).

Stephen: Awww.... what's this for?
Me: I know you've had a rough week, so I got you a little present!
Stephen: You wrapped it?
Me: (keeping my mouth shut) Just open it!

His reaction was priceless!!!
Then after realizing that the onesie was meant for a baby that was in my tummy, he got excited! lol!

Have a blessed Tuesday!
