My parents sent me the sweetest care package a couple of weeks ago... filled with baby clothes, scrapbooking stickers, cookies, and CORNMEAL!!!! Crazy, I know! Self-rising white corn meal doesn't exist in Las Vegas. I was craving cornbread, so my mom went to the grocery store in Louisiana, bought cornmeal, and sent it to me in the mail. I made cornbread in my cast iron skillet.... and it was as close as I could get to my momma's cornbread without having her there cooking it for me. DELICIOUS!
