Laissez les bons temps rouler

Several weeks ago, I received an email about doing a really cool project for a loyal client. Here's what she sent me:
"I'm going to visit a friend in New Zealand in July. When he came to visit he brought my family some things representing his country and culture, and I would like to do the same for his.  I had an idea of maybe a small painting/picture of the shape of la, with a collage of things that represent us inside. I don't even know if you could do something like that. I know that you not only do paintings and photography, but also graphics etc."
Well, the shape of Louisiana didn't work out so well. LOL! I tried! I did several different layouts, but none of them were good enough (meaning... I wouldn't hang them up in my house).  After several attempts, I walked into my kitchen looked to my right and I was inspired by a piece of artwork I did for my husband a couple of years ago (we weren't married at the time). It was a COLLAGE of all the places that made me think about him, especially since we lived in 2 different places.

Here's the inspiration she sent me:

Casey, have a fun trip! I hope you and your friend enjoy your print. :)
Have a blessed day!

Robyn, maybe we need to add a pic of the "oil" spill. The new face of Louisiana and the Gulf Coast for years to come. :(
