Mrs. Marcotte

Last week before Brittany got married, I took her bridal portraits. She was prepared to sweat, get a little dirty, ride around a field in the back of a SUV, and get rained on... all with a smile on her face. She even wanted to do a couple of photos with her fiance's (now husband's) race car. [one more thing I can check off my photography dream list... I've always wanted to take someone's picture next to a really cool race car].

Here are just a few of my favorites:

Most people don't realize how much work goes into a bridal shoot- unless you've been to one. I remember my first bridal shoot. I had 7 different people on hand to help me. Then, the very next one, It was just me, the bride, and the bride's mom. What a change!!! I was spoiled, and then I had to do everything myself. I've come to learn, the number of people at my first shoot is not an everyday occurence. So, after many years of doing bridals, I've done most of the work myself... fixing the bride's train and veil, making sure her hair looks right, carrying the bouquet and the under sheet, etc. But...... at Brittany's bridals, I was SPOILED again. I didn't know what to do with myself. There were 5 extra people on hand to do ALL the work. I kind of felt a little useless. I think they need travel with me everywhere I go. They were so on top of things.... and they were a tremendous help. Brittany, you are definitely LOVED by your family.
Here are just a few photos I took of them helping. It's hard to take pictures of myself when I'm doing it. So, just to give you a little hint of what it's like to be at a bridal shoot.....

Have a blessed day!
