Canvas Art: Game Room Rules
I was so excited to be able to paint this custom canvas for a new client. She sent me a list of Game Room Rules. Her only request was to make sure "Everyone is Welcome" is first and "Have fun!" is last. I say those are pretty important rules.
Have a blessed Thursday!

Canvas Art: Christmas Orders
I enjoy receiving requests to paint something I've painted before, but with requests to make them a little extra special.
Grandparents Canvas: With a Country Twist!!! Gotta love some cowboy boots!I took this picture before I added some "rustic" to it. (11X14)
1 Corinthians: I originally painted this on wood, but it was neat to be able to paint it on a canvas as well. (16X20)

Canvas Art: Flower
I painted this design on a canvas a couple of years ago. A client found it on my FB page. They sent me an email saying they really liked it and wanted it on a larger canvas with a quote. Here it is!!!

Wooden Art: 1 Corinthians
The other material I experimented with last week was wood. I had so much fun working with it...I hope this isn't the last time a client requests it. A couple of inspiration pics can be found on my Pinterest board.
For this painting, I was told to be creative. The only requests were no pink and no pastels. The more rustic the better.
If my client doesn't like it, I have the perfect spot for it in the guest room. :)

Canvas Art: Navy Patch
My husband's grandfather served in the Navy several years ago. For Christmas, I painted his Navy patch. I hope his eye sight is getting worse because this painting sure isn't perfect, but it was painted with love. :)

Canvas Art:Textured Fabric
This past week, I've had the opportunity to work with two new materials- one being textured fabric. (You'll have to come back later this week to see what the other one is.) The material for this painting is the same used for the bathroom vanity at church. This painting will be hung above the vanity mirror. Can't wait to see it in its new home.

Canvas Art: Chocolate
My Mother-in-law LOVES Chocolate!!! I can't even put into words how much she loves chocolate. lol! Let's just say, for every holiday, birthday, and fun care package she gets Peanut M&Ms from us. She not only loves chocolate, but she loves to write, and more importantly she LOVES JESUS. She wrote an acrostic for the word "chocolate". She wanted me to paint it for her so she could hang it in her house.
Mrs. Vickie (ViVi), I hope you like it! Gman and I will see you soon.

Canvas Art: Baby Dickman
A dear friend of mine asked me to paint a canvas for her nephew. When she told me the theme of the nursery, I thought it was perfect! A hunter's nursery for a hunter's son. The whole family likes to hunt. I'm sure Baby Dickman will fit in nicely.

Girls Running For Truth
Last week, I had the honor of taking team pictures for Girls Running For Truth. What an awesome group!!! It is a Christ centered fitness and character building program designed for girls ages 6-11. I wish there was something like this when I was younger. For more info check out their website.

MOM's Night Out
I attend a local MOPS group here in Las Vegas. It is a blessing to be around other moms who have young children. It is also nice to have a support group while my husband is away.
Each month our MOPS group has a MOM's night out. Last month, my mother-in-law babysat my precious G-Man so I could enjoy an evening out with other ladies my own age....and a night of no children. (I love my precious baby, but every mother needs a little break.) We went to Mt. Charleston for the evening. A couple of mom in our group live there. If you don't live near Vegas, Mt.Charleston is a nice getaway/retreat from the city. It's about 30 minutes away. It's hard to believe a place like this is so close to the craziness of Las Vegas.
The Lodge has a cute little Christmas Shop that is open all year round. If you come visit the Lee household, I'll take you there.
Thank you ladies for a wonderful fun evening. Thank you Vivi for taking care of my precious little one, washing my laundry, and cooking.

Baby G's Shower
Last Saturday, I attended a sweet shower for a dear friend. I loved being able to paint something for Baby G's room. Her pretty momma and daddy picked out the scripture...and pink and brown are perfect for any little girl's room. The Lee household is so excited for Emily and Robert. We can't wait to meet Baby G.

Mission Cards: Michaella
I'm not officially back from maternity leave, but I wanted to post these before it was too late.
My cousin recently went on a mission trip to India. She asked me to design some thank you cards for people who helped support her.

BUSTED!!!!
As most of you know, our dog Valkyrie is like a small toddler. We love her! Don't know what we would do without her. But.....I do believe she is preparing us for a baby. lol!
Valkyrie has a couple of things that are hers- a Kong (her favorite), a blanket, and a pillow. She will play with these things, chew on these things, and destroy these things. However, she doesn't chew on anything else in our house except for her toys. Thank you Lord!
Lately, she has had a field day with her pillow. If she is left unattended (if I am downstairs and my husband is asleep), this is what we find on the floor.

The only thing we can do is laugh! We usually find her after the damage has been done, but she's nowhere near it. Last week, I busted her! LOL!
Valkyrie, did you do this?.....her response:

Canvas Art: Happy Birthday Rhia!
I have a dear friend who has a birthday next month.... I know it's still a little early, but I have already sent her birthday/Christmas present to her. (The Lee household is about to get crazy and I would rather be very early than the slightest bit late!) She opened her gift (I gave her that choice), so I can post her canvas. :) I think I might have to paint one of these for my house now.
Happy Early Birthday Rhia!

Nursery: Mobile DIY
It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted for a mobile in Baby Lee's nursery. I wanted something handmade, but I couldn't make up my mind. Then, I stumbled upon this blog. There was a tutorial video and everything (I'm a visual learner!)...the blog is in Spanish, but the video is in English.
I went to Michael's...bought scrapbook paper, string, and paper brads. I spent a total of $7. Then my sweet husband hung it in the nursery. Now that it's up, I can't wait for Baby Lee to see it.

Nursery: Lamp Re-do
When shopping for Baby Lee's nursery, I found several items that I LOVED! Among those items was a floor lamp from Target. It didn't have the lamp shade I would have preferred and the price was way too expensive for my budget. I'm sure to most people, $70 is cheap for a lamp, but not in the Lee household. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on something. I even tried to find a wooden column at Lowe's to recreate it, but that didn't work out so well. My next stop was Goodwill....one of my favorite stores. You never know what you're going to find at Goodwill. Some days are better than others.
I found this lamp for $8. (I don't think I've paid more than $15 for any lamp in our house.) Here's what it looked like before.
I had a white lamp shade left over from another lamp I bought. I decided I didn't like it with the original lamp. I also had silver spray paint left over from another project as well. Total cost for a lamp: $8. That makes my pocket a lot happier than $70.
