An Early Father's Day Gift
First of all, I apologize for not posting much this week. I've been playing catch up... I'm almost there! And some of the projects I've been working on are surprise gifts, so I won't be able to post them until they've been given away (I definitely don't mind). I always like to help surprise people. And this canvas is no different. A dear friend asked me to do this for her husband as a Father's Day gift. He doesn't read my blog, so I think we're ok. lol! I enjoyed doing this one. Painting canvases for men are always difficult, but I love a challenge. Take a look at some pics of the canvas.
Have a great day!

A Painting For Women Who Need A Little Encourgement!
I recently did this painting for the Domestic Violence Center. It was truly an honor to be able to paint this for their living room. I pray that it will bring encouragement to the women and children who are going through a tough time.

Congratulations Friend!
This past Sunday, Valentine's Day, our friend, Ross, was licensed for ministry. It was such an special day! We are so proud of him. He's moving away soon, but I know that God has BIG plans for him. I'm excited to see how God uses him in the days to come. I know my household is very blessed to know this goldy young man!
For his Licensing Service/Going Away Present, I painted him a 24X48 canvas. When I asked him his favorite verse, he told me he didn't have one, but his favorite chapter is Psalm 103. So.... I painted the whole chapter.... ALMOST! It took me 2 whole months to finish this painting... I'm a little slow and my brain hurt every time I started painting it. LOL!
Here's a couple of pics from the service.
The painting:
I LOVE to being able to see people's reactions when they get a canvas I've painted. These pictures make me smile!

Poppe
I just finished a painting for the Poppe family. I think my favorite part of this is the damask pattern.... if you know me, you know that Damask is my absolute favorite. I like it so much that when my husband and I see it in public or on TV, he says,"I bet you like that piece of furniture don't you?.... How did I know?" LOL! It's a good thing we live in a one bed room apartment because otherwise, I would have tons of pieces with that pattern on it.... I'll have it one day! :)
Morgan sells wonderful fabrics on Etsy. I'm a huge fan of her Etsy page. I'm still trying to decide which pattern I want. Check out her page: The Scarlet Poppe

Graphic Design- SUMMER TOUR
As most of you know, I also do graphic design. My friend Larah (Children's Minister at Shannon Oaks Church) was in need of a T-shirt design for some summer activities she's planning. I volunteered to help her out. It was so much fun.... I want one! lol!
Here's a look at the front of the T-shirt. If you're in the Sulphur Springs, TX area, stop by her church for a visit.

iFeliz Cumpleanos Caleb!
Today is Caleb's birthday!!! Woo-hoo! iFeliz Cumpleanos! (I'm tutoring him in Spanish!...hints the Spanish greeting!) The day finally came when I could give him his birthday present. I've had it finished for about a month now. lol! Caleb and his family are very special to my husband and I. I don't think we could make it in North Dakota without them.
My inspiration for his canvas was American Eagle appearel. I hardly ever see him without an American Eagle shirt on, so I thought, why not use it for a canvas. lol! I also used his favorite verse, Romans 8:35-"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?"
Have a blessed day!

Happy Birthday Kat!
I don't think I've ever known so many people that have a birthday in February!
I just finished Kat's birthday present. She is is a 7th grader in the youth group I help out with.... and she is truly special to me! Plus, she really like spicy food- we were meant to be friends. lol!
Her favorite color is purple so I thought I would use every shade of purple I could. I wanted this canvas to fun and youthful... I hope I achieved that!

Happy Birthday Ms.Beth!
Yesterday I finished Ms.Beth's birthday present. Her birthday isn't until next week, but I couldn't wait until then to post it. I painted this 24X30 canvas for her foyer. It's a 2-story space, and there is a place on her wall that's just screaming for a painting. lol!
